Rachel Lagrone- Carbon Cycle

The Carbon Cycle

Carbon dioxide is attached to oxygen, which we need in order to breathe. Plants use carbon dioxide to make food. When CO2 is given off and plants absorb it, they create oxygen. Animals use the oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. This releases it back into the atmosphere.

What I learned

I didn't really think about decomposing matter giving off CO2, but it makes sense. This surprised me a little at first because if you're dead you don't breathe, but it does makes sense. I don't like the carbon cycle much because I don't find it very interesting, but I chose this objective to help me memorize it better than I have before, not for my enjoyment. The information can be applied outside of biology as we all require oxygen to breathe.

  1. I like how you stated everything in your post. I think you should have explained the topic a little more though. You just need to put more details and explain them more.
