What is a Chloroplast?
Chloroplasts are an organelle only found in plant cells. Chloroplasts create food for the plant by converting sunlight (or radiant energy) into sugars. The chlorophyll in it let's the chloroplast do this, the chlorophyll is also the reason for the green color in plants.
Why is the Chloroplast interesting?
The chloroplast is a rather interesting organelle because it's only found in plant cells. It's also the organelle that let's plants create their own food, which is something animal cells can not do.

ReplyDeleteYou did a good job explaining the function of the cell. I think you could have had a little more information about the topic though. I would suggest you talk about photosynthesis and explain it.
ReplyDeleteReally good and quick information about chloroplast! Your reflection was a little on the short side but still had enough information to learn from. To add a little more to your post, try talking more about how chloroplast and photosynthesis affects other organisms.

ReplyDeleteThis is really good for a short and sweet reminder of chloroplast functions. In response to your reflection, I agree that it's fascinating they're only in plant cells. We have to rely on plants for life. Something worth noting is that while chloroplasts make food, they also make the oxygen we breathe.
