Immunity is the body's ability to destroy any diseases that come your way. There are many different types of immunity. Including: Innate Immunity, Acquired Immunity (Also known as Adaptive).
Innate Immunity: The body's natural reaction when something bad comes in contact with your body cells. Has two different types: External: the first line of defense, and Internal: the second line of defense. It is the first and second line of defense when a virus/bacteria comes in.
Acquired Immunity: Also known as Adaptive or Specific Immunity, it is the third line of defense. It has two different types of defense: Passive: When antibiotics are injected into the human to counter act the antigens, and Active: Produced by clonal selection and expansion.
Active Immunity:
Active Immunity is caused by the contact of
pathogens.
Active Immunity does not immediately
happen, it takes time for it become activate.
It last for a long time might even be life
long affects.
They produce antibiotics as the response
to pathogens.
There are very few side affects.
Passive Immunity:
Produced from antibodies from outside.
Passive Immunity is immediate.
Only last for a few days.
What I learned: I learned that active immunity is a unnatural immunity like a shot or a pill. But passive immunity is natural like you white blood cells attacking the diseases.

ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of good information. There are also a lot of errors that needed to be fixed and no citations. You could have added some more information at the bottom about passive immunity.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty good blog. It may have helped to reword some of the things that you copied. I did like the structure of the blog, but there are a lot of issues with this. A pretty decent blog.
ReplyDeleteI like how much information is present. Something you should fix is how you copied and pasted all of your information from the cite at the end. Another thing is how you don't have what you learned. I would give this page a meh out of 10
ReplyDeleteYour post has a good amount of great information on the topic. Unfortunately you don't have a reflection so I cannot comment on that. I would def add your reflection about what you learned and how this information could help.
ReplyDeleteI liked the amount of information present and how you organized it. I would recommend putting more content in your reflection and go into depth about how it could help you. Overall it was a good blog just minor mistakes.
